Where It All Began
Wild Meadow Remedies was born from two decades of dedication to horses and a passion for doing things the natural way.
Mike has been a farrier for nearly 20 years, spending the last 16 of those working across the beautiful landscapes of Dumfries & Galloway. Day in, day out, he's worked closely with horses — understanding their needs, their hooves, and what it truly takes to keep them healthy and strong.
It started simply enough. Mike and Kareen began making home remedies for themselves — small batches, natural ingredients, crafted with care. Before long, Mike started using them on the horses he worked with daily. The results spoke for themselves. His customers noticed the difference, kept asking what he was using — and more often than not, couldn't stop commenting on the smell. (We hear that a lot!)
A Husband & Wife Team
Wild Meadow Remedies is a proper family affair. Every product is made by Mike and Kareen, by hand, at home. Kareen has spent years training and learning about essential oils, and when that knowledge met Mike's hands-on farriery expertise, something special came together.
We don't outsource a thing. From blending to bottling, every jar leaves our hands — not a factory floor. We buy in our supplies and do the rest ourselves, because that's the only way we know how to do it properly.
